Typically known as a four year degree, the Bachelor’s Degree is the most commonly earned degree today. Although the vast majority of students may complete this degree within four years, the duration of study can actually last anywhere from three to six years. It is important to note that there is no actual time limitation to earn your Bachelor’s Degree.
There are several types of such degrees, and they depend surely on the subject of major. Based on that, the degrees have different names. Some of the most common courses are as follows:
- Bachelor of Arts (B.A): This is one of the most popular and widely pursued Bachelor’s Degree. Students who are interested in subjects of the arts such as history, language, literature, humanities, and more. B.As and B.S. degrees may have essentially identical requirements with the exception of the actual courses taken by the student.
- Bachelor of Science (B.S): The Bachelor of Science is one of the most common degrees chosen by students who are interested in studying in the areas of biology, mathematics, biochemistry, computer science, and other various fields. Students whose paths include careers such as architecture or engineering may want to consider this degree.
- Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA): Now, this is completely different from the Bachelor of Arts degree. Students who wish to pursue careers in fields such as drama, dance, music, and design may want to consider this degree. During their studies, students may be in studio or performances in theatrical settings.
- Bachelor of Applied Science/Engineering (BAsc/BE): Also based almost entirely on science, the curriculum required for this degree is far wider than that of the traditional Bachelor of Science. The Bachelor of Applied Science is designed to hone the professional management skills of the learner and is thus more work-centrist.
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA): This degree aims to teach a broad, working knowledge of the functional areas of a company. The BBA programs strive to teach students practical management skills, practical experience, and decision-making abilities. Typical areas of study within the curriculum for this degree may include marketing, organizational behavior, ethics, financial management, and strategic management.

You may obtain one in two different ways. What you choose is completely based on your own personal choices, and the situations which you prefer.
- Online – The internet has revolutionized the way in which education is being brought to the masses. Online students have the ability learn at home, in coffee shops, or on their lunch breaks. Online learning means learning at your own pace, on your own time.
- Campus – Campus learning is right for many students in that it provides a more rigid schedule, structure, and the ability to interact with other students. A Bachelor’s Degree can be earned at a myriad of colleges and universities. Acceptance to one of these institutions is key; here are some requirements:
- ACT or SAT scores
- GPA and High school diploma certificate
- A short paragraph which will serve as a personal statement
